Prof. Andrew Stockman received his PhD from University of Cambridge,England.

Prof. Andrew Stockman is an internationally well-known scholar in vision science, and his visual spectral sensitivity function and bright visual spectral luminous efficiency function have been defined as international standards by the International Commission on Illumination (CIE). Prof. Andrew Stockman has been involved in more than 10 national projects in the UK and has authored nearly 100 journal articles. He has served in many academic societies, including Journal of Vision, Optics Express, Vision Research, etc. In 2018, he received the Macbeth Medal of the International Color Society, and in 2016, he received the Newton Medal of the British Color Society. and served as the first president.
