Research Area Muhammad Farhan Mughal is doing his Ph.D. in the area of colour image processing and perceptual sciences. He has developed the models to predict the visual impression based on facial features and ethnic groups. He has also developed the models to detect and render facial features for simulation-based cosmetic surgeries, calibrate 3D images in terms of spectral reflectance, skin coloration and human visual model to predict discomfort glare ratings. He has authored both journal and conference publications. Journal Publications: 1.Mughal, M. F., Luo, M. R., Wang, Y., Xu, L., & Safdar, M. (2016). Calibration of 3D Images in Terms of Spectral Reflectance. In Advanced Graphic Communications, Packaging Technology and Materials (pp. 41-46). Springer, Singapore. 2.Mughal, M. F., Wang, M., & Luo, M. R. (2018). A Novel Approach to Skin Coloration on Displays. In Applied Sciences in Graphic Communication and Packaging (pp. 89-94). Springer, Singapore. 3. Safdar, M., Luo, M. R., Mughal, M. F., Kuai, S., Yang, Y., Fu, L., & Zhu, X. (2018). A neural response-based model to predict discomfort glare from luminance image. Lighting Research & Technology, 50(3), 416-428.
