Fereshteh Mirjalili

Postdoctor

Profile:
Fereshteh Mirjalili received her B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Color Science and Technology from the Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran in 2006, 2008 and 2014, respectively. She has worked as a researcher at the Institute of Color Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran since 2010 to 2014. In 2015, she joined the Color Engineering Center at the Department of Optical Engineering, Zhejiang University, China as a postdoctoral fellow. Her research is currently focused on appearance measurement and printer characterization.

 

Research Area:
Fereshteh did her Ph.D. thesis on ¡°Quantifying visually perceived geometric appearance attributes of automotive finishes¡±. She has investigated the relationship between instrumentally measured and the corresponding visually percepted specular gloss, distinctness of image and orange peel of achromatic automotive finishes. She has also developed an instrumentally based ¡°Geometric Appearance Index¡± which can be employed as a stand-alone index for predicting the geometric appearance of automotive finishes in the automotive industry.
